Niagara Falls and Canadian - American Rivalry
January 4th 2009 19:33
Thanks to Flickr.com user abmaac for sharing this photo of the American side of Niagara Falls in winter. Beautiful lights on the ice, abmaac.

I'm sorry to be a rabble rouser but this photo was the first hit on a search I did for "canada" and the irony of something called "American Falls" being on the top of the pile must mean something!
For the record:
1. The Canadian Niagara Falls are bigger and better than the American ones.
2. Laura Secord heroically walked her cow through American lines to singlehandedly save the day for Britain near here, before going on 100 years later to establish a national chain of candy stores.
3. War of 1812: Canada (Britain) 1, US 0.
All in good fun!
Happy New Year, everyone.
